Difference between thanks & thanked?

I think "thanks" is the thanks you got from other people, and "thanked" is how often you thanked other people. Just try it out: thank somebody, and if your number gets one bigger, that was it Otherwise, it was the other way 'round

It's the other way around. The top one is the one that you give out, that says 'thanks', and the bottom one is the ones that you got from other people, and how many posts of yours were thanked.
