transparent avatars

I've been trying to create an avatar with a transparent background in photoshop cs2...

I selected transparent background, and saved it as a png, but it's not working...

the file is definitely transparent, as you can see, but geckoforums isn't rendering it's version of the file as it should be..

any suggestions?

really? maybe it's google chrome being stupid...

That's weird. It was 2 seconds ago. .gif is usually a good transparent file type. Try that?
