Superworm Breeding

My 5yr old grandson thinks the worm farm is cool. Especially that worms turn into pupa (he's obcessed with poop) and beetles eat baby carrots. He knows the whole cycle, I've tested him! Once the colony is established it's an easy thing to maintain and so worth it if you have a lot of mouths to feed.

I can't wait to get to this point!
My 9 yr old daughter loves this, too. We've also been doing crickets for about a year. I would have killed to have an experience like this when I was a kid. Gerbils was about the best I got! lol

yeah fishing tackle boxes with individual slots, or even cheaper you can pick up the bead holders from walmart or a craft store.

I use the bead boxes. they're compact and store away easily.

I use the craft box also, and a large plastic coffee can for the pupa to beetle stage, with bedding and a carrot. Both are tucked away in the dark closet.
