Gecko too slow to catch prey

Leopard Gecko feeders

I am really new to gecko keeping and I would love to leave mealies in with our girl but i was told by the people at ******** that we had to squish their heads because otherwise they would bite the stomach lining and hurt the gecko... am i listening to fairy tales again???

Completely false just put some mealies in a dish for your leos

If it's still struggling and you want to get something in to it I would try mealworms or Superworms.
