Slate and UTH

Hi all,

Just a quick question... I'm thinking about changing over to slate tile. I have a glass tank which the UTH is located outside the glass, and underneath. Do I still keep the UTH on the outside of the glass when I change over to slate? Will the heat still be able to pass through the glass, and the tile?

Yes. =) At least in my Leo's 20 g it heats it just fine!

Ah ok, that's good Anyone else that has slate? Where do you place your UTHs?

Ive got slate in most of my tanks, its under the glass (the UTH) and works well
