Okay i used to use vermiculite and recently switched to coco fiber. So what do you guys use?

I actually use a coco fiber and vermiculite mix

Mine nest in a dirt/sand mix. I do not use a nesting/humidity box.

I did a test to see what my female would prefer. I put a vermiculite lay box and a Sphagnum moss lay box. She layed in the sphagnum moss so I will be using that from now on.

Cool experiment, would you consider keeping the two boxes throughout the laying season and graphing the results? I may try something like this, small experiments like these are always fun.

EDIT: I just ordered some Vermiculite for my first breeding season this year, it's arriving tomorrow. So that's the box I checked. On a side note, I wasn't aware that so many people used coco fiber.

I've found coco fiber to be more natural for them. Mine like to bury the eggs like they would in the wild.
