Just got done @ the repticon here in jacksonville, FL. Got this male eclipse for $20. He has a regened tail, but overall he's nice. Gonna fatten him up and when my female is ready for breading, hopefully I can get some embers. *crosses fingers*

Yeah. Originally I was looking for a baby Mack snow, but he was too good to pass up. The guy said he normally would have sold him for 100 but let him go for 20 due to the tail and the fact he had no definate male Mack snows.

he has already eaten 4 crickets since being home. I have him in a 10 gallon on paper towels with a humid hide and a cool hide for now. calci-dish, water, and mealies in the middle. he's skiddish, but i think he'll warm up to his new home. I gotta get another UTH, but the lamp will suffice till then. I have an infrared thermometer so I can keep track of his temps. so far they are perfect. 82 on the cool side 92 on the warm.

Yep def worth $20 I woulda picked him up nice choice and I never would have known about the regen had you not said something. Good luck fattening him up. I am sure you will have no problem

Any of you have any idea how I could get him to eat mealworms? He was raised on crickets only and I want to give him some diversity.

Very nice gecko!just try feeding him some mealworms,see if he takes it.

Maybe try cutting the mealworms so some guts come out, or wiggle them with some tongs?

He seemed interested in one this morning but didn't eat it. I'll try cutting one. Maybe the taste will do it.
